Their focus is on DAF operational priorities and identifying cross-cutting initiatives. Leveraging their expertise in DAF corporate processes, they help scale grassroots solutions to the field, improving both their quantity and quality.

Operational Partners are the teams that lead, execute, and support innovation ideas and initiatives at the NATO, DAF, COCOM, MAJCOM, NGB, Center, and Program Office levels. These cells champion pathways for ground-up and top-down concepts. Jointly, they drive projects to scale while aligning with strategic and tactical priorities. Additionally, they work in conjunction with multifunctional teams to sustain and/or sunset projects at appropriate levels while providing the resources and knowledge to enable and empower the force.
These cells focus on DAF operational priorities to identify cross-cutting initiatives and apply knowledge of DAF corporate processes to increase quantity and quality of grassroots solutions scaled to the field. AFWERX Spark serves as the connective tissue linking all of these cells by promoting increased communication, collaboration, and awareness of available innovation tools and resources via recurring virtual and in-person touchpoints.
Applying vast knowledge of DAF processes, Operational Partners and Spark identify cross-cutting initiatives to align with DAF operational priorities; match-set requirements to the appropriate Tactical Spark Cell to increase quantity and quality of grassroots solutions scaled to the field.
